Win a pair of tickets for ‘Het verhaal van de stad’

This autumn, Paradiso (Amsterdam) will play host to the triennial series of symposia Het verhaal van Nederland (The Story of The Netherlands). In Het Verhaal van Nederland, talks, presentations, conversations and film will sketch a literary impression of The Netherlands on three scales: Het Verhaal van het Landschap (The Story of the Landscape), Het Verhaal van de Stad (The Story of the City) and Het Verhaal van het Gebouw (The Story of the Building).

Writers, architects, landscape architects, artists and filmmakers will give talks and enter discussion with one another, making connections between architecture and the arts, and placing their emphasis on literature. Architecture students from the Technical University Delft will contribute content to each of the three symposia. The speakers also include a number of citybooks authors.

On November the 24th the theme will be ‘the city’, with – amongst others – Erik Lindner (citybooks Charleroi) as special guest.

deBuren is giving away 2 pairs of tickets!

  • To win a pair of tickets for Het verhaal van de stad (The story of the city) on 24th of November 2012, send an answer to the following question to marianne@deburen.eu before the 20th of November, with the subject line ‘het verhaal van de stad’. For citybooks, Erik Lindner wrote ten poems about Charleroi crammed with tiny observations made throughout the city. What, ‘for a moment’, is ‘above the canal’?
