Saskia de Coster presents her citybook A Hundred and Forty Kilos of Love

Saskia de Coster © Johan JacobsAt the end of 2011, Saskia de Coster spent two weeks in Skopje as part of the citybooks project. The text she wrote during her stay, Honderdveertig kilo liefde (A Hundred and Forty Kilos of Love), will appear on the 20th of April as a prepublication in the literary magazine DW B (the presentation will be in Perdu, Amsterdam). And though you’ll need to wait a little longer to be able to read and download the citybook from city-books.eu in Dutch, there’s a chance to get a taste of A Hundred and Forty Kilos of Love at a special live event very soon. On Wednesday 14th of March, Saskia de Coster will appear at the Literaire Loketten in Brussels, where she’ll read from her citybook, and will discuss her experiences in the Macedonian capital with the citybooks editor Willem Bongers-Dek. You can find more information here.

The English and French translations of A Hundred and Forty Kilos of Love are already available online, the translations into Macedonian and Albanian are in full swing, and their respective podcast recordings are too. And, from May, you will be able to read and download the original Dutch-language webtext and e-book of A Hundred and Forty Kilos of Love absolutely for free at www.city-books.eu.
