citybooks Lublin: a book, an exhibition and a debate
The 26th of September, citybooks Lublin is in the center of everyone's attention. Local partner TEK presents the book publication of the citybooks on Lublin, with the city portraits by authors Andrzej Stasiuk, Witold Szabłowski, Arnon Grunberg, Mauro Pawlowski and Maud Vanhauwaert.
The publication will be presented to the audience, and an exhibition with the citybooks photos by Maciej Rukasz and the City One Minute films by Piotr Miłkowski will be opened.
During the evening a debate on ‘The image of Lublin’ will take place. The citybooks stories and images are a good example of an artistic project offering a new, surprising and unusual vision on the city of Lublin. Author Marcin Wroński is also invited for the debate. His novels are often set in Lublin, but for citybooks he changed his well known surroundings for the French city Chartres, which inspired him to write Postcards from Chartres.
- September 26th, 2013 at 6.00 pm in the Centre for Culture's Café (Peowiaków 12 street). Free admission. For more information see citybooks.lublin.eu
