citybooks authors attend deBuren’s opening ceremony

On the 4th of September, the Flemish-Dutch House deBuren celebrated the reopening of its premises in Brussels. deBuren’s employees weren’t the only ones to find a new home in the beautifully restored building; the citybooks photos also received pride of place in the house. The two public spaces – where lectures, debates and many more deBuren activities take place – and the offices and meeting room alike, have all been royally adorned with photos by citybooks photographers. Now we and our visitors can catch a glimpse of cities all over the world, everyday! You can see all of the photos online here.

Saskia de Coster (citybooks Skopje and Stellenbosch) and Bouke Billiet (citybooks Semarang) gave deBuren sound advice. Tommy Wieringa, too, offered his literary thoughts. He wrote the Radio Book Complex A for deBuren, translated into Afrikaans during the run-up to citybooks Stellenbosch.
