Audio stories by deBuren at the literary translation mini-fair of PETRA
PETRA, the European platform for literary translations, is organizing a congress from the 1st till 3rd December in Brussels. On Friday the 2nd of December the public event ‘Grand Hotel Europe / a tribute to literary translatations' will take place in Flagey. This evening presents literary translation in all its different shapes and forms and is meant to be a tribute to those individuals in the literary field working behind the scenes. Guest speakers are Alberto Manguel, Michael Cunningham, Dubravka Ugrešić, and translators from all over Europe. Besides lectures, there will also be a ‘literary translation mini-fair’, with information booths, presentations, contributions from the Liseuses Fabuleuses, and a literary café. deBuren will be presenting the Radio Books and the citybooks at this fair and you'll be able to learn more about these projects, the residencies, and the authors. Of course, there will also be ample opportunity to read the e-books or listen to the audio books that have been translated – by literary translators – into various languages.
