Afrikaans: Radioboek Hafid Bouazza ‘Spotvoël‘

To mark the occasion of citybooks Stellenbosch, Rentia Bartlett-Möhl translated twelve Dutch-language Radio books and citybooks into Afrikaans and invited professional actors to record them. Each month we’ll introduce you to a new Afrikaans-language podcast. Spotvoël is the translation of Hafid Bouazzas Radiobook Mockingbird.

Spotvoël

Hafid Bouazza's Radiobook, Mocking bird, is written in the flowery poetic style that is typical of much of his work. It is a fairy-tale about forbidden love. The story is set in the town of Gortoum on the River Mirwadi and is a place that probably appears more exotic than it is.
