Italian author Francesca Melandri is author-in-residence in Bruges this fall to write a citybook about this historic city. Melandri's well received latest novel Sangue Giusto (The rightful blood, 2017) has been nominated for the prestigious Premio Strega.

On October 6th she will be present for a literary evening during the Un|settled festival. Melandri will share the stage with poet Ghayath Almadhoun (who has written citybooks on Ypres and Antwerp) and the Persian-Dutch author Kader Abdolah.

The three authors and hostess Alicja Gescinska participate in an intriguing conversation about migration. They will speak about their own experiences or why, as writers, they are fascinated by the subject.
