Jaap Faber (Rotterdam, 1985) has studied musicology, literary studies and Dutch literature at the University of Utrecht. In 2008 he has studied and taught for a few months at the University of Sheffield (UK). From 2005 to 2008 he worked as an editor for the literary journal Vooys. In 2009 he graduated cum laude from the Graduate School of Humanities (Utrecht University), with a thesis on the literary representations of islam and modernity in contemporary Dutch prose. Since then, he has been working at the University of Bucharest, where he teaches language practice, linguistics and Dutch literature.

 

Jaap Faber (Rotterdam 1985) a studiat muzicologie şi litere la Universitatea din Utrecht. În 2008, timp de cîteva luni, a urmat cursuri la Universitatea din Sheffield (Marea Britanie), unde a şi predat. Între 2005 şi 2008 a fost redactor al revistei literare „Vooys”. În 2009 a absolvit cum laude Graduate School of Humanities (Universitatea din Utrecht) cu o teză despre reprezentările literare ale islamului şi ale modernităţii în proza neerlandeză contemporană. Tot de atunci lucrează ca lector de neerlandeză la Universitatea din Bucureşti, unde predă cursuri de practica limbii, lingvistică şi literatură neerlandeză.
