Christophe Van Gerrewey (Belgium, 1982) made his debut in 2005 with a short story in DW B, the literary publication of which he is presently a core editor. He has published texts (reviews, essays and stories) in, amongst others, Vlees & Beton, De Witte Raaf, OASE, Standaard der Letteren, Etcetera, Metropolis M, nY and De Reactor. In 2012, his debut novel Op de hoogte (Up to Date) was released by Antwerpen publishers De Bezige Bij. The book was awarded the national Debuutprijs and the East-Flanders Prize for Prose. In 2013, his novel Trein met vertraging (A Delayed Train) appeared in print.

In spring 2014, Christophe Van Gerrewey took up a residency for citybooks in Hasselt and Genk.
